Served five years on Community Services Commission in Torrance.

Elected twice to the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) to represent Torrance, Lomita, and Carson. Served on the Community, Environment and Human Development Committee. Chairman of the Regional Housing Summit. Serve on the Benchmarks and Strategic Planning task forces. Also serving on the team that is developing the Regional Comprehensive Plan.
